The flagging off road construction of the 114 Roads project kicked off recently by the Lagos State Government, and ever since, Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos are in the race of who takes the lead in terms of good construction works and timely delivery. Kosofe LGA and the two LCDAs aren’t left out as Ikosi-Isheri is currently the frontrunner. Rounding off
works on drainage construction on Adebimpe and Balogun Oyero streets have set them ahead of others. This is a welcome development, as these roads are major roads that will help to promote Ikosi-Isheri a great deal, however, the project will be a reference point for the Executive secretary of the council, Hon. Afolabi A.B. Kazeem even after leaving office. He had previously constructed Ekiti and  Oladele streets in Ketu and Sholuyi street, Olowora, prior to the commencement of this project(Adebimpe and Balogun Oyero) and the executive secretary has been duly commended by all in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA for a job well done. Kosofe local government embarked on Olorunfunmi Street, Oworo, while construction has been quite slow, they are still trying to fix the drainage and we are yet to witness construction. Agboyi-Ketu on the other hand is clearing the drainage on Adedoyin Street, Mile 12 where work is yet to fully commence. This has gone a long way to affect the residents of Adedoyin street and its environs, some of which have to leave their vehicles at about two streets away from their homes. Adedoyin is a major link road from Ikorodu road, as a result, work should be faster because other streets gain access through it. These people are free from trouble not until work is fully complete on Adedoyin.
