The people of Kosofe Local Government Area (LGA) recount the achievements of Honourable Moyo Ogunlewe, executive chairman of Kosofe LGA, stressing that he has done beyond their expectations in just 100 days.

The glamorous ceremony eventuated at the secretariat of Kosofe LGA on Thursday when dignitaries within the state witnessed the marking 100 days in office of Honourable Moyo Ogunlewe, the executive chairman of the LGA.

Kosofe Constituency I member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon stated that the achievements of Ogunlewe are unprecedented, pointing out that he has shown that young people have the capacity to transform things if given the opportunity.

He noted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is proud of the executive chairman. “We will continue to give him every necessary support because he has performed beyond the expectation of the people. He is indeed a grassroots leader,” Okanlanwon said.

On his part the commissioner for local government and chieftains affair, Dr Wale Ahmed, who was represented by Kike Sanyaolu commended the executive chairman for the good work he had done in 100 days, stressing that his performance has confirmed that the APC has put the right peg in the right hole.

While praying that God should continue to direct the executive chairman, Sanyaolu said that Ogunlewe has shown that Nigerian youths have a lot of ideas that are even better than that of the older people if given an opportunity in leadership.

Ogunlewe in a chat with journalists stated that he was able to do what he did because of the support he got from his team, pointing out that prioritizing the welfare of the people is important for any government’s success and that he would be ready to hear their views and comments always for better service to the people.

Speaking on the inspiration for haven accomplished so much in just 100 days according to Kosofe residents, Ogunlewe said that what he has accomplished were the targets that he set for himself, pointing out that he was on a mission to give back to society and he didn’t see what he has done so far as too much.

 “I don’t see what I have done in 100 days as too much. The people should give me one year and then they can score me,” he said.

He talked about some of his achievements to include the purchase of four revenue buses within the LGA, purchase of Aluta jet bus for the National Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), purchase of an ambulance for efficient service for all health centres in Kosofe LGA, purchase of a new bus for legislators for smooth running of administrative and oversight functions and construction of roads.

Other projects completed by Ogunlewe are the distribution of 150 GCE forms, deworming exercises for all public primary school pupils, and a host of other ongoing projects some of them over 70 percent completion level, like the customary court, health centre, etcetera.

APC chieftains and prominent party leaders were on present to witness for themselves the numerous achievements of the executive chairman, among the dignitaries, are Senator Seye Ogunlewe, former Minister of Works who is also the father of the executive chairman, member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Omoba Olumuyiwa Sosanya, Kosofe House of Reps member, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye and a host of other dignitaries who also commended the executive chairman.
