The New Odo-Ogun Community Development Association has commenced the distribution of food items to cushion the harsh effects of the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) to the vulnerable in the society, along the Ikorodu Road corridor.

The CDA, led by the Chairman, Mr Adebisi Adeniyi Baker, distributed about 100 tubers of yam, and package of rice to residents of the Owode-Onirin community. In a statement, the chairman of the CDA, Baker, noted that the palliatives distributed to residents will help to subside the hardship in the community, due to the stay at home and extension of the lockdown.
When asked if provisions were the covid-19 relief packages from the government, Baker responded that the relief materials are self-funded, “My name is Adebisi Adeniyi Baker, I sourced for this palliatives in order to assist my community, with the kind support of my class mates, in Secondary school, the Federal Government College, Ido-Ani, Ondo State. This distribution of food stuff that we have commenced yesterday will continue. I am grateful to my mates who supported this initiative.”
