” Good Evening Mr Adeniyi Muyiwa Sirmayor , we are compelled by the forces of truth to react to a post written by you, this is the second time we find it worthy to do so as a local council.

Ordinarily, the post of yours doesn’t deserve attention due to
its contents and coloration, but for us to put light, we are rolling the carpet of truth to react, and also to assure all and sundry that the Mayor Dele Oshinowo led-administration runs on a mantra of inclusiveness and transparency.

Firstly, on the issue of failed roads in Alapere, it is pivotal to let you know that the said roads in question are under the purview of the Lagos State Government.

On its deplorable state, we are aggrieved, we feel the pain like everyone does, hence, the council’s contribution to fix the road is borne out of the desire to make our motoring community happy , and this must be done in line with government processes.

It is interesting to inform you that we have inspected the roads, we have identified the failed portions, but to spend taxpayers’ money, there is a need to follow due process, and complete the necessary paper works.

Also, as a result of the unpredicted weather, we must be careful not to compound the problem, just recently, we thought the sky is free from (H20) to allow full construction activities, but we were surprised with a heavy downpour this week.

On these failed road, please be rest assured that the local council is on top to the situation, while we won’t embark on a cosmetic approach, please have it in mimd that we will put in a place well-constructed roads.
