Kosofe council chairman, Barrister Moyo Ogunlewe has commenced the registration process of residents for welfare packages in his local government.
The grassroots support effort is aimed at reducing poverty among the council area’s youths, women, and vulnerable citizens.
During the 2022 NULGE Worker Forum and Send forth Party of retirees held last week, Ogunlewe told the newsmen that each beneficiary will receive ten thousand naira products voucher that will allow them pick items at approved retailers within the Council area.
He explained that Grassroots Support is about providing assistance to grassroots people.
During the registration exercise that began during the weekend, members of the Community Development Committee, political leaders, youths, and women’s organizations praised the Council chairman for offering assistance to their communities as well as his continued development efforts.
