The ABK Complex and Hon. Kunle Soname Multipurpose Hall were today commissioned in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, marking a significant milestone in community development. Former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Afolabi Kazeem (ABK), described the projects as symbols of hope, progress, and empowerment for the residents.
ABK as he is fondly called emphasized that the projects represent a vision for a thriving community where every resident is seen, heard, and valued.
“The multipurpose hall will serve as a gathering place for the community, while the shopping complex will provide opportunities for local businesses to thrive,” ABK noted.
“These projects are not just about physical structures, they represent our vision, a vision of community that thrives, a vision of progress where every resident is given the sense of belonging to benefit the dividends of democracy.” ABK concluded.
The Council Chairman, Princess Semiat Bada, couldn’t hide her excitement, she noted that
“Each project represents a promise kept. We promised that we would never stop working to make our people’s lives better, that we would keep striving to improve this place they all call home.”
The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotosho, lauded the council Chairman on the commissioning of community projects stating that it would have a lasting impact on the internally generated revenue (IGR) of the LCDA. He said “The projects will be useful to the development of the council and will further boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the council.”
The commissioning of the ABK Complex and Hon. Kunle Soname Multipurpose Hall is expected to have a positive impact on the community, providing improved infrastructure, economic opportunities, and enhanced governance.
