Opeyemi Ahmed Azeez, Chief Press Secretary to Mayor Dele Oshinowo of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, has issued an urgent warning that his Facebook account has been hacked by unknown detractors.
In a video statement, Azeez cautioned the public that the hackers may attempt to use his name to circulate false and politically motivated remarks, emphasizing that any such statements should be disregarded, clarifying that they do not originate from him.
The CPS said the public should be guided and be informed that such write-ups didn’t emanate from him.
Azeez appealed to the people to discredit this story entirely as it did not emanate from him, saying that it was just the goal of his political detractors to dent his image.
He said. “I saw a particular news story, unjust news, and it was shocking to me, I could not even digest the news story, that I wrote a certain comment on a certain Facebook post. I want to say that this story did not emanate from me, and this is the work of hackers.
“I’m definitely sure that security agencies will investigate this matter by the time I take the necessary actions. But what got me really amazed was for people to use my name to discredit my boss. I’ve never written, I’ve never commented on any post on Facebook, I’ve never made such remarks.
“I am a grounded politician, I know what it takes, so I will never make such comments as an immediate aid to the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu.
“However, we are in the era of political people trying to turn people’s image, to defend people, political detractors will go extra mile to rummage the image of the people. And I was shocked about the news content in the story, not only they wrote about myself.
“What really pains me, is for someone to hack my account, I don’t know who is involved in this, but I want people to discredit that just news story. And please and please, anyone reading this story should please and please, help me to share widely, let it get to everyone in Lagos State, in Nigeria.”
Azeez said he had never used his Facebook, even for a long time, saying that he just post videos but he was so much active on TikTok, go to Facebook and post.
The CPS said anyone who had gone there to discredit him, want to dent his image, and they would definitely meet God, and would definitely meet the security agencies.
He urged his fans and the public to shun his social media accounts as detractors were doing more than enough.
Azeez also call the attention of many politicians at this era, of this time and moment to properly guide their social media accounts. If possible, they should probably ignore anything like postings this was because for those that had did this to him, would definitely go extra mile to detract people.
