Monday 18th of October, 2021, marks the 41 days since the late Oba Bashiru Oloruntoyin Saliu passed on. Special Islamic fidau prayer was held in his honour at his residence, the Oloworo palace, Oworo, after which a meeting comprising of Baales, chiefs and youths commenced. The said meeting, presided by HRM Oba Kabir Agbabiaka, Osolo of Isolo, ended with a consensus, Aremo Nurudeen Saliu, son of the deceased Oloworo, was nominated to ascend the throne of his forefathers.

To ascend the throne of his forefathers and ancestors as the next Oloworo, Aremo Nurudeen was said to have been anointed by the Late Monarch and was generally accepted by the Entire Family members according to Ifa Divination.

The meeting was said to have been well attended by entire principal and accredited representatives of Saliu Oloworo Chieftaincy / Royal Family, Kosofe-LGA which included all Baales, Chiefs and Youths in the Family.

Will  this development lay to rest counter reactions from the rival ruling houses in Oworo? Fingers crossed.

Congratulations to Oba Nurudeen Oloworo II, k’ade pe l’ori.
