Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara
The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed yet the nomination of popular beautiful politician and media practitioner, Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara, another Kosofe representative to the Lagos State Audit Service Commission by the Sanwo-Olu led Lagos State government. The confirmation which held at the House of Asssembly,

Alausa, today, Tuesday 30th of June, 2020, is coming six weeks after the incumbent, Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe was rejected without any reason by the House of assembly to return for another tenure in office.

News making rounds as to Hon Akhigbe’s rejection was due to the alleged rift between the speaker of the house of assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, and the late Senator Bayo Osinowo. Akhigbe, being a representative of the governor from Kosofe LG, the loyalists of the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Obasa, view any nomination coming from Kosofe as a Pepper’s stooge, Hon Akhigbe fall within this category of loyalists, as such, his rejection.
The speculation above turned out false, as the Assembly has just confirmed the latest Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s nominee, Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara as a member of Lagos State Audit Service Commission. Mrs. Ogbara was confirmed after thorough screening and cross examination by the Hon. Members.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa thereafter directed the Clerk of the House, Mr. Azeez Sanni to forward a Confirmation letter to Mr. Governor.
Mrs Ogbara, we learnt was a passionate Pepper’s proponent, until the latter’s demise. It was gathered that since her return to the APC in 2015, Ogbara pitched her tent with the Senator Bayo Osinowo caucus amongst other political groups in Kosofe. In the past, Ogbara has been rewarded with various juicy board positions, both at the state and federal levels due to her political strength and impact within the party.
Ogbara’s appointment is another addition to the list of Kosofe’s representation at the state level.
