Kidnap gang, the Badoo is a foremost group of cultists that has been terrorizing and murdering residents of Ikorodu and its environs. This group has put the Police and other community security groups such as the ‘Onyabo’, and Vigilante group on their toes, as the fear of Badoo has become the beginning of wisdom.
Just two days ago, the Badoo gang which wrote several letters to residents of Ikorodu, threatening mayhem and bloodshed broke into a Celestial Church of Christ located at Weigh bridge area of Owode Onirin. Four people, including a baby and two women were said to have been killed in the church.
The dreaded cult group is said to have left a notice on the murdered souls, announcing their presence in the area. This has caused panic around Owode Onirin, Owode Elede, Mile 12 and its environs. A mortar and pestle were said to have been left behind…a symbolic gesture.
A few hours after the badoo cult murder of the four worshippers, disgruntled youths in the area apprehended a young man, whose movement they say has been suspicious. When interrogated, he claimed to be a Barber, a Mechanic and a Plumber at the same time. Noticing inconsistencies in his responses, the angry youths pounced on him and on emptying his pockets they found sharp cutting objects. He was saved by the timely intervention of the Police who took him away to Irawo Police station.
