Bashiru began his political career as a volunteer in grassroots campaigns, where his hard work and strategic acumen quickly earned him respect within the All Progressives Congress (APC). His initial roles included serving as the Zonal Youth Leader of Oja Oba Zone, progressing to Deputy Youth Leader, and then Youth Leader of Ward D. His exceptional leadership and organizational skills led to his appointment as the Agboyi-Ketu LGA Youth Leader.
In these capacities, Bashiru proved himself to be an outstanding youth mobilizer, significantly strengthening the union of youths in his community. Bayo Oshinowo and participating in the logistics team for Senator Adetokunbo Abiru’s campaign, led by Mayor Dele Oshinowo. Bashiru also played a crucial role in the campaign of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, demonstrating his strategic mobilization capabilities.
