Born into a distinguished family in Ibere Kodo, Igboora, on February 22nd, 1964, Abk Afolabi’s journey has been one of resilience and achievement. Educated at Ansarudeen Primary School and Igboora High School, he later pursued a brief stint in Architecture at Ibadan Polytechnic, earning an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) before obtaining honors in Quantity Survey from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University.

 

Afolabi’s professional career spans decades, marked by his expertise as a Project Director, Property Manager, and Construction Guru. His reputation for humility, honesty, and integrity precedes him, making him a trusted figure in his field.

 

In addition to his professional endeavors, Afolabi’s commitment to public service is evident through his involvement in politics. A loyal member of the Alliance for Democracy since 1998, he has held various roles, including Assistant Secretary, Zonal Chairman, and Executive Secretary, among others.

 

Beyond his professional and political achievements, Afolabi is a devoted family man. Married to Alhaja Folashade Mutiat Afolabi, they are blessed with three children: Abdul Basit Jide Afolabi, Eniola Afolabi, and Adetoun Mutiat Afolabi.
