Lagos State commissioner for Wealth Creation Honourable Durosimi Etti has assured practitioners of community media that they will benefit from the just inaugurated N6.3 Billion Lagos State Empowerment Loan! The commissioner further said they have evolved strategy to work with private sector and development partners to be of synergy to potential entrepreneurs!
He said he will be happy to work with community newspapers as they will help disseminate the activities of the ministry and the good works of Lagos State. To actualize this he said his ministry has streamlined the road map that will make them go down to grassroots. This will be anchored on a sensitization tour of local governments and community Newspapers will be used to let the people know what government is doing. The first of such sensitization tour is billed for the last week of March and in Epe division. The commissioner further explained that there will be frequency of mind setting programme and orientation that would change the perception of people from white collar job mentality to private enterprenuership and vocations! Towards this goal the areas of interest and concentration will be Agriculture, Technology,Exports,Logistics etc!
