The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, disclosed on Monday, 20th of April, 2020, that the state may commence enforcement on wearing of face mask in public places from next week.

The Governor, in a televised briefing on COVID-19 updates, noted that this would help curb the spread of the deadly pandemic, in the state. In order to aid the council on the state government’s directives, a former Executive Secretary of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Hon. Adekitan Bamise Kazeem Afolabi (ABK), has made a gift of a thousand beautifully sewn reusable face masks to the Ikosi-Isheri community. On behalf of the community, the present Chairman of the council, Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Onikosi, in company of the council manager, took delivery of the face masks from the aides of Hon ABK, in person of Mr Gbagegoke Adekoya and Alh Kamal Ashafa. Hon. ABK’s love and good intention of helping the Ikosi-Isheri community curb the spread of Coronavirus has motivated his investment in face mask production. We hope the products are judiciously distributed by the council, and put to good use by the residents of the LCDA.
