The Rising Hope Initiative, led by Kemi Soname, wife of business mogul and popular Ikosi-Isheri politician, Kunle Soname distributed 2,000 bags of food items to the aged and vulnerable in 5 towns across Ikenne Local Government.
In fulfilment of the NGOs mission to build a sustainable society, the rising hope initiative have bigger plans, which includes the distribution of more relief materials to other communities. Their aim is to encourage everyone to have a positive outlook, take to government’s precautions, and follow the NCDC’s directives and that they are hopeful that the trying time shall soon pass.
In the words of the convener, Kemi Soname noted that ‘It is no news that everyone has in one way or the other been affected by this new found situation, nevertheless, we have risen up to the occasion and have been touching lives with the distribution of food items as well as being supportive in other areas of need.”
