Hon. Babatunde Akeem Adeyemi, a distinguished aspirant for the Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Chairmanship at the last LG polls, has announced his resignation from the Lagos State Government on the occasion of his 60th birthday. This marks the end of an illustrious career dedicated to public service and the development of his community.

Otherwise known as Irewolede, Adeyemi has been a pivotal figure in the Ministry of Environment of the Lagos State Government. He is known for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of party loyalists of the APC in Kosofe and his significant contributions to various developmental projects in Ikosi-Isheri LCDA and beyond. His resignation at State levels brings to a close a chapter of notable achievements and impactful leadership.

Choosing to pen his resignation on his 60th birthday, Irewolede expressed gratitude for the opportunities and experiences gained during his tenure. In a heartfelt statement, he reflected on his journey and the milestones achieved, emphasizing his belief in the importance of making way for new leadership and fresh perspectives.

Irewolede stated: “Today, as I celebrate my 60th birthday, I also bid farewell to an extraordinary chapter of my life. Serving at the Ministry of Environment of Lagos State, Government has been an immense honour. I am grateful for the support and trust placed in me over the years. It is now time for me to step aside and allow new leaders to continue the work of building a brighter future for our dear State, while I take the back seat and forge ahead with political matters.”
