Reveals Plans to Promote Beach Tourism

The Greater Lagos Fiesta, organized by the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, promises a 72-hour non-stop entertainment extravaganza from December 29, 2023, to the early hours of January 1, 2024. The event aims to welcome the new year with enthusiasm, targeting an estimated 25,000 participants. Here are some key highlights from the announcement:

Sol Beach in Iru-land: The grand finale, traditionally held at Eko Atlantic City, will now take place at Sol Beach in Iru-land. This change aims to expose the state’s beachfront potential to both locals and tourists.
Alternative Viewing Options: Participants who prefer the original venue at Eko Atlantic City can still enjoy the event through a large viewing screen and a dedicated DSTV channel streaming live activities from Sol Beach.
Security Measures
Collaboration with Security Apparatus: The government is actively working with various security agencies, including the Nigeria Police, DSS, Civil Defence, LASTM, and Neighbourhood Watch, to ensure the safety of participants at all designated venues.
