The festive spirit of Eid al-Adha came alive in grand style over the weekend as the distinguished Alebiosu family hosted friends, political allies, and community leaders at a culturally rich Ileya celebration in Ijebu Ode. It was a rare and refreshing display of unity, collaboration, and strategic foresight that brought all the key political figures from Kosofe Federal Constituency to the historic town of Ijebu Ode.
The celebration, hosted by the illustrious Otunba Bushura Bush Alebiosu family, a GAC leader, was a convergence of tradition, unity, and community appreciation — attracting high-profile guests from across Lagos and beyond. The Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon. Dayo Bush-Alebiosu was on hand to receive guests and ensure they experienced the signature warmth and hospitality of the Alebiosu dynasty.
Among the notable dignitaries who honoured the family’s invitation were Hon. Ganiyu Solomon, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe 1; Hon. Moyo Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe LGA; Princess Simiat Bola Bada, Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA; and Hon. Dele Osinowo, Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, as well as many other dignitaries from far and wide.
The event, which blended cultural displays with a feast of local and continental dishes, served not just as a celebration of faith and gratitude, but also as a quiet affirmation of the strong bonds between Kosofe’s key political actors. Against the backdrop of music, laughter, and shared meals, the gathering reflected the strength of relationships that transcend political offices.
“It’s not just about the celebration — it’s about togetherness, remembering our roots, and keeping our traditions alive,” Hon. Dayo Bush Alebiosu noted while welcoming guests to the serene setting in Ijebu Ode.
For many in attendance, the Ileya party was more than a social gathering — it was a reminder of the power of community, unity, and shared values.
As the celebration came to a joyful end, guests departed with smiles, full hearts, and a renewed sense of camaraderie — taking with them the essence of Ijebu hospitality and the enduring legacy of the Alebiosu name.
