In a show of unity and devotion, the Kafilat Ogbara Foundation recently organized the 2024 Tefsir edition, gathering Muslims faithful from Kosofe to partake in prayers and reflection. Alhaja Adetola Ogbara, Kosofe representative at the House of Representatives, delivered a heartfelt message, urging fellow Muslims to utilize the holy month of Ramadan as an opportunity to pray earnestly for the nation’s progress and unity.

The event took place at the esteemed Sheikh Robiu Adebayo Central Mosque in Oworonshoki, commencing with an opening prayer led by Alhaji Muritador Adenummi, Chairman of the League of Imams in Kosofe. The atmosphere was charged with spiritual fervor as Sheikh Ismail Adeyemi Kajola, the first lecturer, elaborated on the profound connection between Islam, Ramadan, and humanity. He emphasized the imperative of love and peaceful coexistence in society, both during and after Ramadan.

Following Sheikh Kajola’s lecture, Sheikh Abdul Raheem Bamidele took the podium, eloquently discussing the importance of integrity in all endeavors. He particularly urged politicians to honor their social contract with the people, recognizing that the electorate are the true source of leadership. Sheikh Bamidele’s lecture, titled “Patience with Leaders in Governance,” underscored the significance of patience and understanding among followers while urging office holders to embody the exemplary virtues of Kafilat Ogbara in their service to the community.

The prayer segment was conducted by Sheikh Robiu Adebayo, an esteemed Islamic cleric who recently celebrated his 88th birthday. Sheikh Adebayo fervently prayed for the nation’s prosperity and harmony, offering special supplications for President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwolu of Lagos State.

In a gesture of generosity, Alhaja Adetola Ogbara distributed several items to attendees, exemplifying her commitment to community service and fostering unity among its members.
