The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe has distributed 325 free General Certificate of  Education (GCE) forms to indigent students as part of his commitment to raising the literacy bar in Kosofe Local Government.

The WAEC GCE forms distribution, according to the council helmsman, is aimed at providing quality education with ease and availing opportunities to deprived students to seat for the examinations and prepare them for tertiary education.

Honourable Ogunlewe noted that SOHCAHTOA, Anthena Professional Consult and Mr Ayanfeoluwa Adejorooluwa are key partners in making the distribution of free GCE forms a reality.

In his words, “ Today’s event is a reflection of this administration’s commitment to ensuring that pupils and students of Kosofe Local Government get nothing but the best opportunity to enhance their academic performance.

Speaking at the distribution ceremony held at the council secretariat, Ogunlewe advised the beneficiaries to invest quality time studying and avoid distractions ahead of the examinations, in order to score high grades.

While promising bountiful educational support to the citizenry, he disclosed that his administration is equally working on other educational packages towards improving the standard of education of the students and availing them unique opportunities.

The Council boss advised beneficiaries to concentrate on their studies and aim for the best in their educational pursuit, adding that “Education is key and the only way you can give that to the people is to give an opportunity  to everyone willing to study  and make sure they are well educated and that’s what we’re doing”. He concluded.
