Aftermath of the Mile 12/Agiliti crisis, many are still counting their losses. Some sustained severe injuries, amongst them is a sixteen year old Bolaji Kalejaiye who was hit by a stray bullet. On Saturday 12thMarch, 2016, the speaker of the Lagos state house of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa made a surprise visit to him at his bedside in the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.
Hon Obasa was in the company of the following lawmakers during this visit: the Assembly Deputy Chief Whip, Hon Omotayo Oduntan, the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Hon. Tunde Braimoh; the Chairman on house committee on Health, Hon. Segun Olulade, the Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary, Human rights, Public Petitions and LASIEC, the Princess Funmilayo Tejuoso, the Chairman on House Committee on Youths, Sports and Social development, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasumu and Hon. Jude Idimogu.
The delegation was received by the victim’s mother, Mrs Alero Kalejaiye and at the end of the visit, the speaker donated N500,000 to offset the medical bills of the victim
