Campaign was officially flagged off for the Mayoress, as she is fondly called, and all members of her team of candidates vying for legislative positions.
Hon Yinka Ogunleye, also known as Kakaraka, a party loyalist, who had served behind the center-stage  was rewarded with the ticket of the Vice-Chairmanship position.

In ward A (Isheri and Olowora), Folashade Akinpelu was the returned candidate after a rigorous tenure, Ganiyu Oni, a fresher, was handed over the ticket to vie for the legislative candidacy of ward B (Shangisha and Magodo). In ward C (Ikosi-Oke), former youth leader and loyalist to all camps in the Ikosi-Isheri APC family, Deji Oshinowo, was the supported candidate, may be due to little or no interest shown by his predecessor for another term.

The royal family of Ikosi also got a compensation due to their loyalty to the party, Ismail Onikosi got the support of party leaders to represent ward D (Orile-Ikosi) at the legislative chambers of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA.
Gbadegoke Adekoya, ward E (Orile-Ketu) generalissimo and scribe beat the incumbent Speaker of the Ikosi-Isheri LCDA at the May 29 primaries to clinch the party’s ticket for his ward. He has since gotten the support of his leaders and the community due to his track record of boldness, intelligence and being an advocate of good and credible governance.
In ward F (Maidan-Agiliti) Taleat Biliaminu aka Baba Jelili, was returned as the party’s candidate, while same is done for the Majority Leader of the legislative chambers of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Hon. Salami Yinusa, who represents the Ajegunle, Kiokio zone of ward G (Ajegunle). Yinusa was able to weather the storm that consumed some of his colleagues in the legislative chambers during the primaries, may be as a result of his loyalty to the recourse of the party.

Former Executive Secretary of the council, Hon Afolabi Kazeem, while addressing the crowd reeled out some of the achievements of the candidate, from students and teachers welfare, supply of school bags and stationery, to healthcare, to construction of roads, welfare of the aged, widows and skill acquisition and sports for the youths amongst others, Hon. Kazeem urged the people of the LCDA not to allow anyone to truncate the developmental steps of  the candidate of the party, Princess Bada in just 17 months.
