Restates Commitment to Youth Development

To provide a strong convergence of support for the Super Eagles, yesterday, the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo visited a public viewing centre established by the Lagos State Government in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA to watch the Super Eagles encounter with the host nation of AFCON 2023.


The viewing centre located at Plot 42, Doyin Omololu Street, Ketu attracted a large crowd of viewers, cutting across traditional rulers, community leaders, artisans and several youth bodies.

Speaking during the halftime break, the chairman commended the Babajide Sanwo-olu administration for coming out with people-oriented initiatives that will create social inclusion for Lagosians.

While highlighting the numerous sporting achievements of his administration thus far,the chairman informed the viewers that his administration has begun the journey of constructing three recreational centres in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

Mayor Dele noted that the project has started in Agboyi town,with construction works expected to start in the remaining two locations ; Thomas Football Field, Owode-Ajegunle and Mechanic Village adjacent LAWNA Headquarters,Ketu.

The chairman further used the occasion to call on youth in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA to take complete ownership of the newly-constructed and fully- furnished ICT Hub in the LCDA, which is located at Agboyi-Ketu Area Office, Mascara.

He explained that the ICT Hub when in operation will provide free technological training for youth in the LCDA, stressing that the main aim of the project was to expose youth in the locality to ICT, so that they can be self employed and be able to compete technologically with their peers across the world.

The highpoint of the football viewing was the presentation of cash gifts to lucky winners of a question and answer session.
