Residents of Agboyi witnessed a significant development as Mayor Dele Oshinowo, accompanied by the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Fatai Ganiu, visited the site of the Agboyi Recreational Centre for an inspection.
Situated in the historic town of Agboyi 2, the recreational center is part of the ambitious plan by the current administration to enhance community amenities. Once completed, it will boast artificial grass, spectator stands, seating arrangements, and floodlights to ensure safe activities even during nighttime.
Addressing the community, Mayor Dele assured residents that despite the challenges posed by the town’s complex topography, the project remains on track. He highlighted the current hurdle of transporting sharp sand to fill the pitch, estimating a requirement of approximately 300 trucks of 20 tonnes each.
Mayor Dele emphasized the need for continued support from the community, reaffirming his commitment to delivering on promises made. The Agboyi Recreational Centre stands as a testament to the dedication of the local government to improving the quality of life for its residents.
