The role of government to it’s people at all cadre is to protect lives, properties, and most importantly provide social amenities and infrastructure for the people.

As a custodian of the mandate of the people of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, the Mayoress, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada stepped up her monthly Financial Empowerment Program as she promised the residents during the December 2021 edition of the program.

Residents of Ikosi-isheri LCDA were full of joy and praises to the Mayoress as she made another promise kept by rolling out N50,000 cash empowerment to 200 beneficiaries.

Also, she distributed 1,500 bags of food stuffs (combo of rice, beans, and garri) to the residents for the month of February 2022 edition of the program.

The beneficiaries of the February empowerment program, which took place on Thursday, at Senator Adebayo Osinowo Hall, in ikosi Isheri council secretariat include widows, aged persons, Youths, special persons, people living with disabilities, representative of the CDC/CDA, market men/women associations, league of imams, CAN, Ndigbo community, Arewa Community, NURTW, Lascoota, Association of Okada riders, TOAN, Association of senior citizens, and several others.

In her speech, Princess Samiat Bada highlighted the motive behind the cash empowerment initiative as a way of supporting small and medium businesses in the LCDA and reducing poverty to the barest minimum in Ikosi-isheri LCDA and Lagos State at large.

She assured all residents that “the cash empowerment will go round, as it is being rotated across our respective organisations, associations, and locality on a monthly basis, so she implore the beneficiaries to utilize the funds judiciously.”

Olayinka Ogunleye (Kakaraka), Mrs. Muyibat Balogun (JP) The Chairperson, All Members of the Legislative arm led by Hon Yinusa Salami, CDC led by Chief Adekoya, league of imam, CAN, Ndigbo and Arewa Communities, NURTW, Lascota, association of senior citizen, market men and women, political stakeholders among several others.
