The incumbent lawmaker representing Kosofe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Ojo Agunsoye noted that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will coast to victory in the current Presidential election. This hope, he shared with other aspirants of the APC in the National Assembly elections, Agunsoye commended the electoral umpire for a seamless process, though, he affirmed that INEC’s preparations met more than budgeted.
Agunsoye spoke to members of the Kosofe League of Journalists at the polling unit where he casted his vote, beside the Police post on Dipo Awolesi (former MRA compound) where the electorate troop to exercise their civic responsibility.
In his words, he said “I think INEC was prepared for this election, but what they met on ground, I’m sure they never expected it. Like people came out here as early as 7am, this is the former MRA ground where I always cast my vote. INEC didn’t turn up till about 11am and since then they’ve been working and people have been coming in to ensure they cast their vote. It shows that the awareness is there, that people decide the government they have. People are prepared to ensure they put in place someone that can turn things around for good.
When asked about his expectations at the polls, ROT, as he is fondly called by many, disclosed that the APC will be victorious, he said “my expectation is that by the grace of God, we will win, the track record is there. Asiwaju has done it before, as you can see, Lagos, you all know what Lagos was before now. He turned things around. I don’t have any doubt in my mind, Our party will win. I’m referring to all the candidate contesting in our party”. He concluded.
