The member representing Kosofe constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon has described the current electoral process seamless and hitch free. Hon. OKLA noted that he expects that their party, the APC comes out victorious.

According to him, “People have been playing the game according to the rules, we are expecting a very good result”.

OKLA further stated that he enjoins his supporters to continue the good work he has started, in order to take Kosofe to its zenith. In a chat with media practitioners, OKLA said “our first term has been eventful, momentous and productive. In the realm of infrastructure, we have done pretty well. We have a record of progress in different sectors. We have provided jobs for people, by the last count, I have 78 people from my constituency employed as teachers in the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM). It gives me great joy, I also have three medical doctors that I have assisted with getting job in Lasuth, about two people in Lagos Bus Service Limited (LBSL).

Speaking of infrastructure, we never had a fire service in the whole of Kosofe, I facilitated it to Berger, in Oworonshoki. I facilitated the bridge at Arowojobe here, there was lot of drainage going on there. We have done a lot on infrastructure. Also, in the area of assisting small scale businesses, we did a small scale business support scheme, where we gave people POS and gave them capital of N25,000 each. We gave the brilliant students (indigenes) scholarships. Honestly, if you ask me if we have scored 100%, my answer will be No, but I know we have scored above average. I think I deserve an encouragement to go for the second term and I want to believe that my people(constituents) will give me that second chance in the Lagos state House of Assembly.

In the realm of Law making, which is our cardinal responsibility, some of our colleagues who had spent four terms in the house, have no bill or law to their credits, but by the grace of God, I have two bills that have been passed into law, in my credits. I have moved and co-sponsored so many motions.

With all of that, I trust that my people would support me for my second term. I believe come March 11th, I will be given the second chance to rule again”. OKLA added.
