The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Alhaja Kafilat Ogbara of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the Kosofe Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

Professor Lukman Adams, the INEC Returning Officer, declared at the early hours of Monday, at the Collation Centre in Ogudu, Kosofe.

The returning officer, Professor Adams, said that the APC candidate polled 45,111 votes to beat her closest rival, Florence Adepegba Bodunrinsola , of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 28,964 votes in the 25 February National Assembly elections.

 


Professor Adams said the ADC polled 6,659, while polled 4,967  votes, NNPP 4,152 and  A got 1,144.

“Ogbara Adetola Kafilat of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law, has scored the highest number of votes, is at this moment declared the winner and returned elected,” he said.
