It was a sunny Sunday evening, match day 18 at the Remo Stars Academy, home of the Skyblue Stars of Ikenne. The well height edged visitors of Kwara United FC, arrived the Ikenne home of the Remo Stars in their beautiful white away jersey, to contend the business is the day.

Andy Okpe, striker of the Remo Stars, launched a header, after receiving a cross from Sodiq Ismail, at the 6th minute, to give the Skyblue Stars a lead.

Seun Odunsi doubles the lead for the home team, after dribbling past the goalkeeper and scoring at the 8th minute. Odunsi scored his first ever NPFL goal for the Daniel Ogunmodede’s boys.

Philip Odubia found the back of the net at the 12th minute of play, while adding a brace at the 34th minute of play from a cross from number 11 jersey, Sodiq Ismail, made it four goals clear, ahead of the visitors.

The manager of the Remo Stars team, Daniel Ogunmodede, having won the manager of the month award April/May, expressed his joy with the outcome of the match, despite a few setbacks in the first leg, he said that his team has done brilliantly in the second leg of the League. He further stated that he hopes for the best at the upcoming Super 6 competition in Lagos.

Super 6 is the tournament that decides

the champions of the the NPFL every season. It is to be contested by the Top Three teams in the two groups (Group A and Group B) of the NPFL.

The tournament will be played in a league format, a total of 15 games — with each of the six teams facing the other. 

The matches is played for five days.
