Operatives of the X-squad of the Federal Criminal Investigation Department, FCID, Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, western Nigeria, have arrested a 76-year-old man, Mustapha Durojaye Ajisejiri, for allegedly parading himself as the Oba of Oworonshoki, a claim, the police said, he knew to be false.
After investigation, the suspect, a resident of Oworonshoki, Lagos, was arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates’ court on a five-count charge of felony to wit: impersonation and willful damage to property.

Obiazi said the offences the accused committed are punishable under section 409, 23(2)(d) and 348 of the criminal laws of Lagos State, 2011.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the police allegations in the open court and magistrate Mrs. A. T. Omoyele admitted him to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Omoyele adjourned the case till 20 April, 2016 for mention.
