Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government has set a new standard for learning. In a significant milestone, he commissioned a state-of-the-art block of classrooms at Mosafejo Primary School, Oworonshoki, underscoring his commitment to quality education and infrastructure development.

The event, attended by dignitaries, including Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront, and representatives from the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), showcased the administration’s dedication to providing conducive learning environments.

Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, emphasized the significance of the project, stating, “Today, we are not just inaugurating a structure; we are opening doors to countless opportunities for our children and investing in the future of Kosofe Local Government Area.”

The newly commissioned building boasts of modern educational standards, including 100 big and 100 small desks and benches, ensuring pupils’ comfort and ability to concentrate. This initiative aligns with the local government’s vision to transform the educational landscape of Kosofe.

Hon. Ekundayo Alebiosu praised the Chairman’s progress, describing it as “a work in progress” that has been “non-stop.” He commended the administration’s efforts in various sectors, including education, roads, and infrastructure.

Dr. Shittu, represented by a delegate, commended the Chairman, saying, “I want to thank you for this edifice; you’re doing well, and it will in no way fail to shape the future.”

The event highlighted the local government’s initiatives to uplift education in Kosofe, including free JAMB/UTME forms, GCE support programs, free tutorial classes, adult education initiatives, and distribution of educational materials.

Stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and partners, expressed gratitude and acknowledged the impact of the facility on the school community. The Chairman reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to creating centers of excellence in every school in Kosofe.
