It was another epoch-making event on Wednesday 16th November, 2022 at Kosofe Local Government Secretariat when the Executive Members, Management, Staff, Party Faithful, Friends and Well-Wishers gathered to witness the presentation of official vehicles to the Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government, Head of Administration and Legislators by the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe.
In a bid to enhance the productivity of political holders of Kosofe Local Government, the council has presented vehicles to each of the members.
The official Toyota Highlander and Toyota Rav 4 that were presented to the Vice, SLG, HOA and Honourable Councillors are meant to improve the effective discharge of their legislative functions and other oversights duties that would bring development to the Land of prosperity.
The Vice-Chairman, Hon. Oluwole Sosanya; the leader of the House, Hon. Idowu Oluloro; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Fatai Gbadebo; Head of Administration, Mrs. Adetokunbo Ogabi; Deputy leader, Hon. Femi Oyesile; Majority Leader, Hon. Kehinde Saliu; Chief Whip, Hon. Akeem Oshinjirin; Hon. Lekan Adebare, Member; Hon. Sunday Omofojoye, Member and Hon. Baruwa Sulaimon, member were all beneficiaries of the noble gesture.
Making the presentation the Executive Chairman Hon Ogunlewe urged the beneficiaries to continue with the good work they are known for and ensure that the vehicles are adequately taken care of and maintained.
He said his administration would continue to give members of the legislative arm the wherewithal to perform their duties effectively stressing that councillors are partners in progress.
He added that the cars would aid their movements both within and outside the local government area.
He stated that this gesture would also be extended to the supervisors and management.
The Secretary to the local government, Kosofe, Hon. Gbadebo appreciated the council chief for what he had done.
Hon. Gbadebo while answering questions from the press, said the vehicles would enable the functionaries to perform their official assignments perfectly well.
He debunked the insinuation that the purchase and the presentation were belated. ” It is not late, he promised us but it is quite obvious that he was busy with various developmental work like the construction of roads, the building of health centres and other assignments at the council. We are very pleased with his work”
Responding on behalf of the Honourable Councillors the leader of the Kosofe Legislative Arm, Hon. Idowu Oluloro expressed his sincere appreciation to the Executive Chairman for the gesture adding that the vehicle would add value in the discharge of their services.
The Leader assured all And sundry of a continued cordial relationship with the Executive Chairman, stressing that what is paramount is the development of Kosofe local government and the provision of good bye-laws for the entire residents.
