After a long wait, Ojota was finally dignified with a King. Oba Jimoh Adewale Olawale-Cole who was installed on the 20th March, 2016 at Emmanuel High Street, Ojota, Lagos. This installation is a step in the right direction as it will help aid government policies in the area of community
development and the Kabiyesi will also serve as the representative of the government in terms communicating with the Ojota people through one of their own. The event which boasts of dignitaries from around the state, the representative of the Lagos State Governor, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Musiliu Folami who presented the staff of office, other dignitaries in attendance are Oba of Ogudu, HRM Oba Rilwan Fashola, Oba of Ikosi, HRM Oba Kehinde Edun Arobadi 1, Oba of Oworo, HRM Oba Oloruntoyin Bashiru Saliu, Oba of Ketu, HRM Oba Isiaka Oyero Balogun amongst other royal fathers.
