Oloye Seun Salami, a one time vocal critic of Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe, has made a dramatic shift in allegiance. Speaking to KosofePost on Saturday morning, Salami explained his newfound support for the incumbent chairman, attributing his change of heart to a deeper understanding gained through proximity.

Salami acknowledged that during the lead-up to the 2023 general elections, he was recognized as a staunch critic of Ogunlewe. However, a closer association with the local government chairman revealed the influence of self-serving politicians and sycophants as the root cause of past misunderstandings. Salami emphasized the role of political interest, asserting that his interests align securely with Moyosore Ogunlewe.

Notably, Salami has initiated a subtle campaign for Ogunlewe’s reelection bid, declaring himself an “unrepentant supporter and frontline chief campaigner.” According to him, Ogunlewe’s leadership skills have fostered unity within the party, serving as a unifying force and bridge builder.

Highlighting Ogunlewe’s commitment to local government development, Salami commended the chairman’s practical achievements and accomplishments across the wards. Salami asserted that Ogunlewe stands out as the best choice, prompting progressive figures to set aside personal interests for the greater good of the local government.

“All hands are already on desk,” Salami declared, signaling a united front to ensure Ogunlewe’s reelection in 2025.
