Following the tragic incident that claimed the life of the erstwhile Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Late Hon. Abdulfatai Oyesanya, the ideal approach to selecting a competent member of the All Progressives Congress who occupies the office of the Vice-Chairman is within the major stakeholders of the party, since the current Vice-Chairman will ascend the seat of the Chairman.
At the moment, due consultations should be on-going within the caucuses that make up the APC. The norm is bringing the leaders of all the three major stakeholders which includes the Mandate group, the justice forum and the Kosofe Integrity Movement, all to a round table deliberation.
There is tension in some of the APC camps, some presumed faithful members have started lobbying their leaders should incase the coin flips their way.
Unconfirmed reports of names of favoured or preferred members who are said to have been selected to jostle for the position, have been published in various online media platforms.
The entire Ikosi-Isheri is waiting patiently to see who emerges the new Vice-Chairman of their council. Will it be an all-inclusive affair? Does the justice forum and Kosofe Integrity Movement have a say in all of these, considering that Mandate member was in power? Or will it be an all mandate affair? The next 24 hours will supply answers to this questions.
