The gripping need for Nigerians to show love to one another and eschew ugly behaviours resonated today at a Ramadan Lecture organized by the Mayor Dele Oshinowo administration paddling water of governance in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

The lecture held at Agboyi-Ketu Secretariat, witnessed a mammoth crowd and an array of distinguished personalities.

 


Welcoming congregarnts to the event, the council chairman, Mayor Dele Oshinowo urged residents of the locality and beyond to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and sacrifice for one another in making the world a better place.

He further noted that the lack of love is the reason for human beings engaging in criminal acts.

Also speaking,the Guest Lecturer, Chief Imam, Yarosalam Central Mosque, Suleiman Idris described patience as the greatest attribute for a leader to emerge successful in his administrative doings.

While doing clinical justice to the topic ‘Expectation of Citizens from their Leaders’, the Guest Lecturer urged leaders to strengthen feedback in ensuring the populace take complete ownership of their operations.

He further urged leaders in the country to appoint individuals that would tell them the truth, not bootlickers and priasesingers adopting the ‘YES’ trademark in all their opinions and thoughts.

Delivering the vote of thanks, the Chairman, League of Imams, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Alhaji Daud Abdulsalam commended the council chairman for his good administrative approach in ensuring that all angles of governance are touched.
