Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday, 7th October, 2021, flagged off the Southwest Agenda 2023 (SWAGA ‘23) in Lagos State to drum support for the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Sanwo-Olu was accompanied by all members of the State Executive Council, lawmakers in the State House of Assembly, and members of Conference 57 to formally unveil the political group.
SWAGA, despite heavy media coverage, ditto grassroots evangelism, the public is yet to get convinced about the candidacy of Jagaban. As seen in some parts of Ketu, Alapere and Ikosi, this weekend, campaign posters of Asiwaju Tinubu were seen torn-down, ripped and defaced at different locations.
Many wonder why posters are being ripped at the early stage of the campaigns. Though, the ‘Landlord of Lagos politics’ as often referred to, is yet to declare his interest in the Presidency, ahead of the 2023 elections.
This reaction from the Kosofe populace, a community under the watch of late Senator Bayo Osinowo, seem to kick against the SWAGA 23 group’s motive of campaigning Tinubu to be president.
