The Empty Tantalizers Building

The burning heat from the Sun made the walk down Ogudu road a gruelling task. In rumbling tones, my stomach confessed. Hunger!
Then I saw it… standing regally across the road.
‘Loko, see! TANTALIZERS! Let’s go in, I’m hungry’.
In his typical, cold but funny sarcasm, Lekan replied ‘you are seeing a mirage…look again’.
Then, I saw it. A desolate, faded, dusty looking building, with “second-hand” electronic gadgets stacked at the double-door entrance…FOR SALE! With the signage, ‘TANTALIZERS’ in its traditional spot, up on the wall.
No food, No snacks, No drinks. Just a sad, empty building.
Well…we took a few shots, haggled with the two young sales boys over a digital picture frame without any intention of buying and moved on.
Converting the frontal of the building into a second-hand sales ground isn’t the problem, but the angry looking signage on the building should have been kept away from public eye, either by covering it up or completely dropping the frame box. This current state could affect the sales of other Tantalizers branches situated around, as the perception to the public could be that the brand Tantalizers is not in existence anymore
