Hon Ganeey Babatunde Okaanlawon Sanni
Kosofe Constituency 1, Lagos State House of Assembly

As the new official democracy day, June 12, approaches, Hon. Ganeey Babatunde Okanlawon Sanni, the honourable member representing Kosofe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, has decided to reel out his achievements in 365 days of being elected as representative of the Kosofe constituency 1. OKLA, as he is popularly called, reacted to news making rounds that some parts of his Kosofe constituency 1 which he represents have been left unattended to. In a comprehensive report made available to Kosofe Inside-Out, it reads…

‘You may probably not be aware of my joy in reading all your concerns, criticism, chastisement, reproach and what have you about the welfare of our constituents and our constituency. This resonates the fact that my people are enlightened and very much alive and aware of  there civic  responsibilities as people who freely handed over their mandate thru suffrage to seek adequate quality and qualitative representation.  Suffice to say that I am not unmindful of your concerns and promise to continue to add value in all way possible by the special grace of God. May I say that in the last 367 days that I’ve been on the saddle as your representative, I Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon have either facilitated or cause to relive some seeming abandoned projects all over the CONSTITUENCY. . To mention a few :
◇ I hope we have not forgotten in a hurry that I facilitated and ensured the completion the 2nd Oworonshoki access road which permanently solved the accessibility bottleneck of the area.

◇Work is in advance stage at the Mende -Arowojobe vehicular link bridge which I also facilitated (W.I.P)
◇ I facilitated the fixing of  Bush street  and work has been completed
◇ I also facilitated the resurfacing of Ojota- Ogudu road . Work has since been completed.

◇In my deep thought ,I discovered that the road between the Local govt hqtrs and Pst. Ayorinde church, if opened up into the Lagos-Ibadan express road would help decongest traffic on Ojota-Ogudu route. I therefore interfaced with the Special Adviser Works Mrs Aramide Adeyooye. To God be the glory, the road has been awarded and work has since resumed at the site now.

◇ Work is on-going on  Ajoke Salako road in Ward C, Ifako/ Soluyi

◇ Drainage and Road construction are on going  on Adegbenro st, Soluyi by Harmony estate
◇ In my deep thought, I discovered that if Ganiyat Dawodu road is opened up to burst out into the 2nd Oworonshoki access road, it would go a long way easing traffic away from Diya street and make commuting seamless into the 3rd mainland bridge.  To God be the glory,  the project has been awarded and work has since commenced  at the site.

◇ Yetunde Brown  and Taodaq estate roads are being worked upon.

◇ Road and Drainage projects are ongoing on Amao st, Kujore st, Kogberegbe st in Ojota.

◇I have vehemently and thru my potent voice caused to happen, the dredging and clearing of virtually all our clogged up  primary channels called canals right from :
Odo Iyalaro, Arowojobe, Ajao estate,  Millennium Oke-alo,  Atunrashe,  Yetude brown and up to Oworonshoki Canal behind Oba Oloworo’s palace. All these done to avoid incidences of flooding in year 2020. Work still in progress.

◇ Muslim college Oworonshoki has been slated for rehabilitation and furnishings.

◇ DIYA street is a done deal by God’s grace. I have been assured by Mr Governor and all the officials that matters in the Ministry of Works that the road project commencing from St Fimbarr’s road would ultimately end up on DIYA st. There is no cause for worry be rest assured.

◇ Work is ongoing to address the infrastructural decadence of Oworonshoki (Covid-19) has disrupted and altered some programmes but i can assure  all of you my constituents that we shall not rest on our oars until Kosofe Constituency 1 is given it’s fair share of the state’s cake. Let’s keep hope alive.
