The former Lagos State Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives and aspiring Senator for the Lagos East Senatorial District, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye, has emphasized the need to put Lagos East on a fast lane in the areas of infrastructural, socio-economic development.

Speaking with a group of journalists at his residence on his ambition to represent Lagos East Senatorial District, he disclosed that, the full potentials of the Lagos East have not been realised and there are little or no investment opportunities for the people of Lagos East to harness.

Ogunleye maintained that, his plans on various projects ranging from investment opportunities, massive infrastructure and diversification of Nigerian economy are geared toward strengthening the Lagos East and ensuring fast paced development.

He noted that, serving means using one’s education and exposure to make a difference and ensure a better Constituency than one had met.

The ex-commissioner opined that, his diversified educational background vis-a-vis his political portfolio made him experience first class, how to go about implementing projects, “there will be sensitization of the various constituency in the areas where projects have been allocated”, he said.

Ogunleye added that, all achievement is to one’s name and awarding contracts to those who will not execute the projects is what he would not take lightly.

He however commended the people of Lagos East for their consistent support and hopes for God’s assistance and people’s confidence to achieve his ambitions.
